The Eureka E10S

The E10S is an excellent choice for homeowners who wish to reduce time while still dealing with the daily accumulations of dirt, pet hair and other messes. The robot vacuums and mops, allowing owners to set their own cleaning schedules, map levels and designate zones and rooms. It also boasts the power of a 4,000Pa vacuum as well as a mop motors, ensuring a thorough job even on tougher flooring types. It is bagless robotic cleaning devices, eliminating the need for bags to be replaced while promoting easier maintenance, with a clear trash container that lets users be aware of when the container is full and requiring emptying.

The base station of the E10S is also a nice feature. It features advanced multi-cyclonic technology, which lets you efficiently remove debris and prevents premature filters blocking. The Eureka App provides high level functionality and an easy-to-use interface. In addition to creating and storing maps, it allows you to label rooms, as well as define no-go and no-mop zones to ensure that the cleaner doesn't wander off into the kitchen. A manual control mode allows you to directly drive the bot around, and you can also set up cleaning schedules.

The E10S is simple to set up. It only takes just a few steps to get it running. It comes with a charging dock and there's a helpful tutorial to guide new users through the procedure. The E10S is an excellent option for any home. It will save you time and effort and keep your floors tidy.

The SwitchBot Mini K10+

The SwitchBot Mini is a compact, powerful vacuum cleaner with a lot of features. It's ideal for homes and apartments with small spaces. Its surprisingly powerful cleaning performance was rewarded with high scores in our debris removal edge and crevice cleaning tests. The ability to navigate and map were also outstanding as the robot was able to avoid obstacles while moving furniture.

This robotic vacuum and mop is among the few in its class to utilize LiDAR SLAM technology. This makes it capable of creating precise maps of your home's rooms. It also comes with 10 flagship-level sensors which allow it to maneuver through the tightest of spaces. It is very efficient and requires very only a tiny amount of energy despite its advanced capabilities.

The app controls the robot and provides a simple, easy-to-use interface. The main screen displays basic information like the status of the dust bin, mop and filter pad plate. You can also create highly customized schedules as well as set cleaning modes and generate reports within the app.

You can also set no-go zones, which will stop the robot from entering specific areas of your home. This is a great option for those who want to protect your robot from areas that aren't safe for it, such as an area for pets or a kitchen. The app will also help you keep track of your battery to ensure it's fully charged for optimal operation.

Once the robot is done cleaning, it returns to its Station to charge. The station can be moved from room to room as required, however it can be somewhat loud when sucking in what it taken and returning to the charging dock.

There's some physical set-up required when you first take the K10+ out of its packaging to remove any foam padding from gaps and crevices. You should also position the machine near an outlet for power. To connect to the app you'll require an excellent WiFi signal. Accessories include an extra mop pad, side brush, and a spare filter. These accessories are an excellent addition for the robot because they provide extra convenience and cut down on time spent changing the supplies.

The Shark IQ XL

The Shark IQ XL offers an impressive array of intelligent features and is reasonably well-built for less than $400. It's a more efficient robot than the less-than-smart RoboVac G30. It feels better to use and performs better on low- and high pile carpet. It's also more adept at maneuvering around obstacles such as electrical cords.

Its battery life is excellent and allows the unit to operate in its high-suction "Max" mode for more than an hour. The large bagless cutting-edge vacuums storage area is easy to clean. Simply take out the side bin, then empty it into the trashcan. No need for cleaning bags or additional effort. The IQ's companion application allows you to send the IQ to specific rooms. It is also possible to resume the cleaning session from where it began when charging is required halfway through. Also, you can plan multiple cleaning sessions in one day if you need to.

When we test the IQ XL, it performed an excellent job on hard floors but was unable to handle carpets with medium piles with larger crumbs, and occasionally pushing debris into corners where it was not supposed to be. The robot's side brush can sometimes not be able to collect dirt or swish it away. It also navigates in straight line rather than zigzagging like more advanced robots.

If you'd like to use the IQ XL to be able to block certain areas of your home, you can create zones that are not allowed to be visited by dragging boundary squares within the application. It can be a little difficult to tweak these boxes, so we'd prefer the option for virtual walls that are easier to draw.

The IQ XL also has a feature we found to be extremely useful called the Ultra-Clean mode. This mode doubles the robot's suction power, and utilizes its brushes to sweep the floor in a crosshatch. This feature is especially useful in areas with high traffic. We are dissatisfied that it's not available on the current models. You can set a timer which will automatically trigger an Ultra-Clean system for any room within your home.

The Shark Matrix

While it's not offering the same set of features as the iRobot Roomba lineup, Shark's ION-series robot vacuums punch above their weight with LIDAR mapping capability and a self-emptying base station. However, the Matrix elevates the experience to the next level by providing two-in-one vacuuming and mopping.

As with most robotic vacuums the Matrix can be used as a traditional upright cleaner or set to agitate and scrub your floors with a power pad to give your floors a more thorough clean. It can also be used in the vacuum/mop modes which utilizes the same cleaning pad to simultaneously scrub your floors and get rid of any stubborn dirt and stains. The powerful vacuuming mode of the matrix is particularly impressive on carpets. It uses a grid of passes to remove dirt and debris, which results in 30% more stain removal than Roomba robots.

The Matrix is also much simpler to use than a modern Roomba. Shark's app allows you to create a spot-cleaning zone simply by dragging a rectangle in the designated tab. Roomba users must manually identify and create the cleaning zone. The Matrix also comes with an actual button to begin cleaning without opening the app.

Other features that are quality-of-life are included with the Matrix, including three suction power modes (normal Eco, and high-power 'Max') and recharge/resume functionality that allows it to pick up where it left off in the event that it has to return to its dock. Its battery life was higher than the AI Ultra's, and its overall performance in removing debris across a variety of surfaces was exceptional.

The only downside to the Matrix is that it uses up battery more quickly than other models and its performance for cleaning pet hairs is not consistent. The Matrix is still a good option for most homes, and it improves on the AI Ultra in a few key ways. It's built better, recharges quicker and can pick up more debris on flooring that is low-pile. In addition, the EcoMax' and 'Eco' modes offer a significant improvement over the AI Ultra's "Normal" mode.
